Have you ever opened a junk drawer and thought, “What even is all this?”
Life can feel the same way. Too many things pulling at your time, your energy, your money—and before you know it, you’re stuck in survival mode with no idea where it’s all going.
In this episode of A Cup of Hope, we’re taking the next step in the ALIGN Reset and shining a light on the clutter that keeps you stuck. This isn’t about judging what you find—it’s about noticing. Because what you’re not inventorying, you can’t transform.
We all have one—physically or figuratively. That place where random things collect.
You had a reason for keeping them at the time… but now, it’s just clutter.
The same thing can happen with your calendar.
Your money.
Your commitments.
Without awareness, we keep saying yes to things that cost us more than we realize.
On the farm, we used a tool called a seed cleaning screen to clean wheat before grinding it into flour.
Each layer of the screen filtered out debris—sticks, leaves, tiny seeds, even dust—until all that was left was what was pure and useful.
Your life needs that same kind of slow, intentional sifting.
Not everything gets thrown out… but not everything gets to stay either.
Inventory is about filtering. Noticing. Naming.
What’s nourishing? What’s noise?
“Know the state of your flocks, and put your heart into caring for your herds, for riches don't last forever, and the crown might not be passed to the next.”
— Proverbs 27:23–24 (NLT)
Back then, flocks were your wealth—your livelihood.
Today? Your “flocks” might look like your calendar, your bank account, or your to-do list.
Taking inventory helps you ask:
✅What am I really spending my time on?
✅Where is my money going that I didn’t plan for?
✅What’s draining my energy—and does it need to?
When we look at our life—what we’ve said yes to, what we’ve been tolerating, how we’re spending our time, money, and energy—we start to see what actually matters.
You don’t need to do everything.
You don’t need to fix it all today.
But you do need to notice.
You’re the gatekeeper.
And clarity gives you the courage to choose wisely.
In the ALIGN Reset Journal, I guide you through this exact process—with grace and curiosity.
We track where your time, energy, and money are going so you can realign with what matters most.
💡You’ll ask yourself:
When these bowls are nested in the right order, life feels aligned. When they’re flipped, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.
This week, take 10 quiet minutes to reflect on your own life inventory.
No pressure. No guilt. Just awareness.
Ask yourself:
“If I keep spending my time, energy, and money this way, where will I end up?”
You don’t need a full plan to take the next step.
You just need to notice—and begin.
